Pedro S\u00e1nchez's government is displaying a high degree of desperation regarding its role in the migratory invasion of Ceuta.<\/p>\n
That desperation stems from the potential legal consequences of their inaction regarding the Moroccan incursion into that Spanish city<\/strong>, now that the matter is in the hands of the justice system. This explains the government's hasty release of confidential reports and communications<\/a>, carried out yesterday on the La Moncloa website.<\/p>\n The Minister of Defence stated that the CNI did its job.<\/big><\/p>\n The government's intention to reveal those confidential communications\u2014in order to cover itself legally\u2014was evident; it was an attempt to shore up the narrative maintained by S\u00e1nchez and several of his ministers claiming that the National Intelligence Center (CNI) gave no warning about what was coming<\/strong>. This narrative directly contradicts the statement made on August 25 by Defense Minister Margarita Robles<\/a>, who noted that the CNI informed the Government Delegation in Ceuta on July 29<\/strong>\u2014the day before the invasion began\u2014and added: \"The CNI carried out the work required of it and provided the necessary information<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n Moncloa launches a smear campaign against the CNI.<\/big><\/p>\n Spain is experiencing an extraordinary situation. We have an intelligence service of great prestige and professionalism<\/strong>\u2014whose work in defending national interests should be beyond question\u2014yet it is the Prime Minister himself who is spearheading a smear campaign against the CNI<\/strong>, simply because S\u00e1nchez chose to believe the Moroccan government\u2014the political entity responsible for that invasion and its mastermind\u2014rather than placing the trust the CNI deserves in the agency.<\/p>\n This smear campaign against the CNI reached its most infamous and embarrassing point yesterday. The Prime Minister's Office circulated a statement to the media on behalf of the CNI<\/a> asserting that the agency \"did not foresee the magnitude and nature of what ultimately occurred on the 30th.\"<\/em><\/strong> Last night, while other media outlets echoed a government-circulated falsehood via the state news agency Efe<\/a> (controlled by the S\u00e1nchez administration and attributing the information to \"CNI sources\" without further specificity), El Mundo pointed out the true origin of this alleged admission of failure regarding Ceuta by the CNI<\/a>: \"the text was sent by Moncloa, not the CNI or the Ministry of Defence<\/strong>, although, according to sources consulted, Margarita Robles's department reportedly agreed with the statement, which did not originate from the intelligence services but from the Government itself<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n An attack on Spanish intelligence service to protect Morocco<\/big><\/p>\n This is astonishing in a country that has suffered a serious attack on its territorial integrity by a foreign nation: in order to shield certain government members from potential criminal liability and to protect Morocco\u2014the aggressor nation<\/strong> (with which, as is by now more than evident, the Spanish Socialist leader is entangled in a relationship of blackmail dating back to Morocco\u2019s 2021 espionage<\/a> targeting the mobile phones of the Prime Minister and several of his ministers)\u2014S\u00e1nchez is launching a disinformation campaign against our own intelligence service<\/strong>, an official institution whose duty is to defend Spain\u2019s interests, not the personal interests of government members or the interests of Morocco.<\/p>\n
