This is how the armies of allied countries patrol<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>This Saturday night, at 9:58 PM, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EMADmde\/status\/2098863928956555340\" target=\"_blank\">the Defense Staff (EMAD) posted an unusual message on its Twitter account<\/a>, stating the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\"<strong>The commitment of our military personnel to Ceuta is irrefutable<\/strong>, as is the respect, propriety, and consideration shown to everyone working and serving in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Our mission is to help, driven by a sense of service\u2014an ethos that is entirely incompatible with <strong>certain baseless accusations calling into question the professionalism of the Armed Forces<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You can view the EMAD message here:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\" style=\"margin:20px 0 20px 0;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">El compromiso de nuestros militares con Ceuta es irrefutable, como lo es tambi\u00e9n el respeto, correcci\u00f3n y consideraci\u00f3n hacia todas las personas que est\u00e1n trabajando y prestando sus servicios en la ciudad. <\/p>\n<p>Nuestra misi\u00f3n es ayudar desde la vocaci\u00f3n de servicio. Algo que no es\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Estado Mayor Defensa \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddf8 (@EMADmde) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EMADmde\/status\/2098863928956555340?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 12, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><big>A very difficult situation for the Armed Forces<\/big><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Armed Forces are facing a critical situation due to the Moroccan-led migrant incursion into Ceuta<\/strong>\u2014which began on July 30 and is being handled in an absolutely deplorable manner by Pedro S\u00e1nchez\u2019s government (and I say this as a civilian, since our military personnel cannot say so publicly). <strong>For one thing, our soldiers are confronting the situation without being designated as agents of authority<\/strong>; such a designation would provide them with greater legal protection to\u2014for instance\u2014carry out preventive detentions of individuals suspected of, or involved in, crimes or public order disturbances while awaiting the arrival of National Police or Civil Guard officers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Furthermore, our soldiers are facing this situation with a notable lack of adequate equipment<\/strong>\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2026\/08\/29\/policias-con-armas-de-fuego-en-la-estacion-de-cadiz-y-soldados-con-porras-en-ceuta\/\">individually armed with batons and carrying only one firearm per patrol<\/a>. This leaves them exposed to high-risk situations and <strong>constant assaults by illegal immigrants<\/strong>\u2014such as those that occurred just yesterday in that Spanish city in North Africa, resulting in <a href=\"https:\/\/elfarodeceuta.es\/guardias-civiles-agredidos-militar-perone-fracturado\/\" target=\"_blank\">two Civil Guards being assaulted and a soldier suffering a fractured fibula<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55526081076_c0a70421c9_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55526081076_f95597ed49_z.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">Soldiers from the 7th Engineer Regiment (RING 7) of the Spanish Army guarding a supermarket in Ceuta during the Moroccan migrant invasion in mid-August (Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EMADmde\/status\/2088340881560784997\" target=\"_blank\">Estado Mayor de la Defensa<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p><big>Wave of attacks on social media<\/big><\/p>\n<p><strong>Furthermore, our Armed Forces are enduring an unprecedented wave of attacks on social media<\/strong>\u2014an onslaught whose intensity and constant, daily nature suggest it is no longer merely spontaneous. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2026\/08\/31\/ceuta-and-an-alarming-indicator-of-the-morale-of-the-spanish-armed-forces\/\">On August 31, I warned here about the unfair criticism leveled against our Army<\/a> via the Armed Forces' communication channels on almost all their posts. <strong>That criticism has now escalated into a campaign of insults and defamation, including accusations of \"treason\"<\/strong> against members of our Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p><big>An attack on the Spanish Army from a far-left NGO<\/big><\/p>\n<p>What has likely pushed the EMAD to its limit is a story published by <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/eldiarioes\/status\/2098756778359963813\" target=\"_blank\">the pro-government outlet Eldiario.es<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/amp.elmundo.es\/espana\/2026\/09\/12\/6aa546eee9cf4a13048b459d.html\" target=\"_blank\">the newspaper El Mundo<\/a> this Saturday at midday, with the headline: <em>\"Military patrol harasses NGO volunteers for two hours, hindering food distribution to migrants.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The NGO in question is No Name Kitchen<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.es\/sociedad\/detenidos-ceuta-canadiense-aleman-resistirse-policia-20260825181940-nt.html\" target=\"_blank\">two of whose members were arrested in Ceuta for resisting authority<\/a> in late August. It is a far-left organization that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libertaddigital.com\/espana\/2026-09-06\/la-ong-no-name-kitchen-acusada-de-dar-material-corrosivo-a-los-invasores-de-ceuta-recibe-dinero-de-guerrilla-foundation-7455261\/\" target=\"_blank\">has been accused of providing corrosive material to illegal immigrants in Ceuta<\/a>. On August 30, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceutatv.com\/articulo\/politica\/vox-emprende-acciones-legales-name-kitchen-pide-bruselas-que-anule-fondos\/20260830151036252751.html\" target=\"_blank\">Vox announced legal action against the NGO<\/a>, which the party has accused of distributing homemade devices to the immigrants. A day earlier, it was reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elconfidencial.com\/espana\/2026-08-29\/migrantes-ceuta-artefactos-gases-1tps_4414220\/\" target=\"_blank\">several members of the NGO were identified by the police<\/a> <strong>for distributing bottles containing a chemical mixture to illegal immigrants in Ceuta<\/strong>\u2014devices that, when thrown, cause a deflagration and release gases.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55526081081_47fe45321a_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55526081081_cc16691e15_z.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">Admiral General Teodoro Esteban L\u00f3pez Calder\u00f3n, Chief of the Defence Staff (JEMAD), during his visit to Ceuta in early September (Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EMADmde\/status\/2095856902127206636\" target=\"_blank\">Estado Mayor de la Defensa<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p><big>Barrage of insults against the Spanish Army from the other extreme.<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Curiously, <strong>following that defense of our soldiers' professionalism by the EMAD<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EMADmde\/status\/2098863928956555340\" target=\"_blank\">its message has been met with a flood of criticism and insults\u2014but from the opposite end of the political spectrum<\/a>. The harshest messages come, in many cases, from neo-nazi accounts and pro-Russian activists. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2026\/08\/31\/ceuta-and-an-alarming-indicator-of-the-morale-of-the-spanish-armed-forces\/\">I warned here back on August 31st<\/a>\u2014regarding the wave of migration into Ceuta\u2014that <strong>now, more than ever, citizens who love Spain should be supporting our armed forces<\/strong>, rather than subjecting them to an absurd erosion that benefits only Morocco. <strong>Instead, some are helping to fuel a shameful smear campaign against our soldiers<\/strong>, damaging their morale at a time when it is already severely strained by the difficult situation they are facing in Ceuta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Todo ello, adem\u00e1s, sirve para distraer esas cr\u00edticas de quienes deber\u00edan ser sus receptores: nuestros gobernantes<\/strong>, que son -junto con Marruecos- los responsables de esta situaci\u00f3n. <strong>En vez de pedir cuentas a los pol\u00edticos, algunos descargan su odio contra nuestros soldados<\/strong>, que s\u00f3lo cumplen \u00f3rdenes y que no deciden por s\u00ed mismos ni sus misiones ni las condiciones en las que deben asumirlas. <strong>Con esos insultos y difamaciones a nuestro Ej\u00e9rcito, lo que algunos internautas hiperventilados hacen no es defender a la Patria<\/strong>, sino actuar como tontos \u00fatiles de un gobierno incompetente y de quienes est\u00e1n intentando da\u00f1ar el prestigio de nuestro Ej\u00e9rcito desde la extrema izquierda. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Moreover, all of this serves to divert criticism away from those who ought to be its targets\u2014our government leaders<\/strong> \u2014who, alongside Morocco, bear responsibility for this situation. <strong>Instead of holding politicians accountable, some vent their hatred against our soldiers<\/strong>, who are merely following orders and do not themselves decide their missions or the conditions under which they must carry them out. <strong>By hurling insults and slander at our military, certain overzealous internet users are not defending the nation<\/strong>; rather, they are acting as useful idiots for an incompetent government and for those on the far left seeking to tarnish the military's reputation.<\/p>\n<p>---<\/p>\n<p><small>Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EMADmde\/status\/2098735165065314486\" target=\"_blank\">Defence Staff<\/a>.
