As a result of the crash, <strong>four crew members have died and eleven have been injured<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.difesa.it\/primopiano\/comunicato-stampa\/116536.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Italian Ministry of Defence has confirmed<\/a> that <strong>those who died are two members of the Italian Army and two members of the Italian Red Cross (CRI) Voluntary Military Corps<\/strong>. The causes of the tragedy are currently under investigation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55620366133_91a765620a_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55620366133_63a48e2a64_z.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.klix.ba\/vijesti\/crna-hronika\/srusio-se-helikopter-eufor-a-kod-brckog-tri-osobe-poginule\/261029251\" target=\"_blank\">The Bosnian media outlet Klix.ba has published these photos of the crashed helicopter<\/a>, in which we can see that <strong>the ICH-47F has been completely destroyed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55620636725_8e4e2be633_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55620636725_ef954a730b_z.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Italian Army Aviation originally received 40 ICH-47Cs in the 1970s<\/strong>\u2014a version of the American CH-47C manufactured under license in Italy by Elicotteri Meridionali. <strong>In 2009, the Italian Army contracted for 16 more modern ICH-47Fs<\/strong> to renew its fleet of Chinooks. The ICH-47Fs are operated by the 11th Squadron Group \"Ercole\" of the 1st \"Antares\" Regiment, based in Viterbo\u2014a military airfield located 107 km northwest of Rome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My deepest condolences to the families and colleagues of those who perished.<\/strong> Grant them, O Lord, eternal rest.
