Europe has countries of great natural and architectural beauty, and among the great nations that make it up, Poland occupies a special place.

With an area of 312,685 square kilometers, Poland is the ninth largest country in Europe, after Norway and ahead of Italy. Its nearly 38 million inhabitants make it the seventh most populous country in Europe, after Spain and ahead of Ukraine. Unlike other European countries, Poland is mostly flat, but has a mountainous region in the south. Furthermore, it has 9,477,400 hectares of forest, meaning that 30% of its surface area is covered by forests.

The north of the country is bathed by the waters of the Baltic Sea, thanks to which its coastal areas have a milder climate than the inland areas. I've been reading and hearing people talk about how beautiful Poland is for a long time. This Wednesday I was able to see it for myself by watching a beautiful video published by Adnan Akhtar in October on his YouTube channel, 4k Films by Adnan, which takes you through the cities, mountains, forests, and coasts of that country in 20 minutes:

You can see some screenshots from this magnificent video here. The image at the top of this post shows the city of Warsaw, with the Vistula River in the foreground. Below, we can see another image of Warsaw, with the Vistula on the right.

Krakow, pictured below, is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. Here we see the Market Square, with the towers of St. Mary's Basilica in the foreground.

The Hel Peninsula is a narrow strip of land that runs along the northern coast of Poland from west to east. At its tip is a naval base that was the last stronghold of Polish resistance during the German invasion of 1939.

Zakopane is a city of about 28,000 inhabitants located in southern Poland, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and in the southern part of the Podhale mountain region. The Tatra Mountains can be seen in the background of this image.
