Many places in Spain were packed with people to witness this astronomical phenomenon. Dutch astrophotographer Martin Schoenmaker chose the Puerto de la Cubilla pass, between Asturias and León, at 1,683 meters above sea level, along with several colleagues from the Cosmos Sterrenwacht, an astronomical observatory located in Lattrop, one of the darkest places in the Netherlands. Last Friday, on his YouTube channel, Martin posted a 5-minute real-time video showing the solar eclipse against the backdrop of the spectacular Spanish landscape, where it practically became dark:

Martin has posted this amazing photo of the eclipse on his BlueSky account. He's taken away a great memory of Spain:

I was in #spain for the #eclipse too! You've probably been bombarded with eclipse spam already. But I think I have something interesting for those who haven't seen it, but want to experience it a bit too. (1/2)
