Madrid was the scene of a new mass protest today against the government of Pedro Sánchez, in the midst of a wave of corruption scandals.
The protest, called by dozens of civil associations grouped in the Platform for Constitutional Spain, has served to denounce the abuses and corruption of the coalition government of socialists and communists headed by Sánchez, which has unleashed a series of attacks against judicial independence and freedom of the press in the midst of scandals that already affect Sánchez's family environment, his government, his party and the attorney general appointed by the government, charged this week with an alleged crime of revealing secrets.

As usual, the government and its affiliated media have focused their efforts on downplaying the importance of the demonstration, giving a ridiculous estimate of attendance (which is usual when the socialists govern in Spain and there are protests against them). The images speak for themselves. Here is an image of the demonstration published by RTVE:

Political support for this call has been rather uneven. Although the Popular Party officially supported the demonstration, neither its president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, nor the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso attended it, following what already seems to be a PP tradition that its leaders do not attend demonstrations if they are not called by the PP. In this case, the party sent a delegation headed by Carmen Fúnez, its deputy secretary of organization, a person with a lower media profile than the aforementioned PP leaders.
España: 400.000 manifestantes se reúnen contra el Gobierno socialista en Plaza de Castilla (Madrid), un gobierno manchado por escándalos de corrupción y una gestión muy deficiente en todos los ámbitos importantes.

On the contrary, the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, and a large part of the leadership of his party attended the protest, also following a tradition of Vox of attending demonstrations against the government even if they were not called by that party.

Above these lines we can see a video by Isabel Pérez Moñino in which Abascal appears as just another protester, on the street, at this demonstration. Below you can listen to the statements that the leader of Vox made to the media (the video is in Spanish, you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):
