Having a coalition government of socialists and communists is having increasingly worse consequences for the Spanish economy.
An obsessive desire to subject everything to state control
Basically, the idea that socialists and communists have of the economy is that the State should control everything, filling the entire process of wealth and job creation with bureaucratic obstacles. The left hates economic freedom and private property. Its ideological goal is for the State to own all the wealth and for citizens to depend on the State, that is, on politicians, for everything. Such an idea of the economy is only compatible with a dictatorship.
In a democratic country, the only way for socialists and communists to move closer to their ideological goal is to criminalize entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals, subjecting them to obsessive scrutiny of their activities, effectively treating them as suspected criminals. This is the only way to explain a tax regime as oppressive as Spain's.
Verifactu, another new bureaucratic obstacle to control SMEs and self-employed workers
The latest socialist invention to control small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the self-employed is Verifactu, a system that will make electronic invoicing mandatory and will immediately notify the Tax Agency of all invoiced amounts. A few days ago, <the National Federation of Self-Employed Workers' Associations (ATA) published a video clarifying this matter due to the amount of misinformation out there, since the regulations to implement this system have not yet been approved:
Another nail in the coffin of an economic sector that can no longer take it
The official thesis of the government and of pro-government media is that this measure will help the self-employed comply with their tax obligations and that it simplifies administrative procedures. The reality is that with this system, SMEs and self-employed workers are subjected to more control and more bureaucratic obstacles, as if they didn't already have enough to suffer. In fact, there are small business owners and self-employed workers who are considering abandoning the activity because of it, because they can't take it anymore. Verifactu is, in fact, one more nail in the coffin of a sector of our economy that has been suffering more than any other from the ruinous policies of the left.
They control SMEs and self-employed workers while the government wallows in corruption
The paradox, so to speak, is that while he subjects the creators of wealth and employment to ever more control and more bureaucratic obstacles, people who earn an honest living with their work, getting up early every day and dedicating many hours to their work, Pedro Sánchez justifies cash payments to politicians from his party, the PSOE, after it was discovered that irregular payments to those investigated for various political corruption offenses.
In the end, the technique of socialists and communists is always the same: They can do whatever they want and they try to keep the rest of us under their thumb, penalizing entrepreneurs and self-employed workers simply because they have chosen a productive modality that the most fanatical left doesn't like. It's time we reacted against these abuses, because with them they not only manage to discourage the creation of wealth and employment, but they are also leading our country to ruin.
