The deployment of troops and military vehicles in Vigo for Armed Forces Day

This week, the city of Vigo is hosting various activities to mark the main events of Spain's Armed Forces Day.

From Tuesday, May 26th to Sunday, May 31st, there will be an exhibition of military equipment and vehicles at the Port of Vigo, in the Montero Ríos street area, with booths from the three branches of the armed forces, the Military Emergency Unit (UME), and the Civil Guard. The exhibition will be inaugurated this Tuesday at 10:00 AM with a solemn raising of the Spanish flag on the aforementioned street.

LThe rehearsals for this raising were carried out this morning with troops from the Brigade "Galicia" VII (BRILAT), accompanied by the BRILAT War Band and the Music Unit of the Maneuver Support Command (MAM), based in La Coruña.

Preparations for the exhibition at the Port of Vigo

Below you can see some of the vehicles and equipment that were on display this morning in the Vigo Port area during preparations for this exhibition. We begin with a Browning M-2 heavy machine gun mount for an RG-31 Nyala vehicle, exhibited by the Army Logistics Academy.

An IDV M250 armored truck from the 6th Parachute Engineer Battalion (BZPAC VI) of the 'Almogávares' 6th Parachute Brigade (BRIPAC) of the Spanish Army. It has come from Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).

An Iveco T-Way VEMPAR truck from the High Readiness Land Headquarters Battalion (CGTAD) of the Spanish Army. It has come from Valencia.

An Iveco M.170.33WM 4×4 all-terrain truck from the "América" ​​nº66 Mountain Infantry Regiment (RICZM 66). It has come from its base in Cendea de Berrioplano (Navarra).

An IDV M250 armored truck of the "Isabel La Católica" Light Infantry Regiment No. 29 of the "Galicia" VII Brigade (BRILAT) of the Spanish Army, based in Figueirido, Pontevedra.
