Sánchez is seeking a conflict with Italy to cover up his cowardice towards Morocco

The Spanish government should orient its foreign policy towards national interests, and not the personal interests of its president.

However, with Sánchez's socialist government, the opposite is true. First, he encouraged a diplomatic conflict with Israel, aligning his government with the interests of the terrorist group Hamas and its allies, because that was what suited him to compete electorally with the anti-Semitic far left. He has not hesitated to make all sorts of snubs to the United States, Spain's biggest ally, for exactly the same reason as with Israel. But with Morocco, things are different.

Sánchez has been giving in to Morocco since that African country spied on his mobile phone in 2021, with two important extractions of information using the Pegasus software. Whether out of cowardice or due to being blackmailed, the Spanish socialist leader acts as a mere puppet of Morocco, as he has demonstrated once again with the recent Moroccan migrant attack on the city of Ceuta, an attack brought about by the irresponsible immigration policy of the Spanish government.

A few days ago, Sánchez described the migrant invasion as an "attack on the territorial integrity of a Spanish city", but without blaming Morocco and even thanking that country for sending tens of thousands of people to attack a Spanish city. It is a scandalous and humiliating attitude for Spain. As if surrendering our country to a blackmailing regime in this way wasn't enough, during the videoconference of European interior ministers held on Tuesday, the Sánchez government asked other European countries not to blame Morocco for the invasion of Ceuta.

While Sánchez's government acts like Morocco's embassy in Madrid, prioritizing the Moroccan government's political agenda over Spain's interests, its attitude towards friendly countries is radically different. Today, Sánchez threatened Italy with reprisals for establishing a border filter with Spain, a logical reaction from the Italian government to a Spanish migration policy that is already a threat to the entire European Union.

The Spanish government warned that it will take these reprisals if these filters are not lifted before August 9. Giorgia Meloni's government has not been intimidated and has rejected the threats from Sánchez's government, indicating that these restrictions will remain in place at least until August 15.

Thus, after displaying shameful servility towards Morocco, Sánchez now displays arrogance towards Italy, a very different attitude and one that, of course, is not motivated by the defense of Spanish interests. Sánchez has been left in a very bad light by his cowardice with Morocco, and that is why he is now seeking a conflict with Italy: so that we Spaniards forget that he has been acting as a mere butler to Mohammed VI for at least five years. Once again, Sánchez is using Spanish foreign policy to further his personal interests, creating conflicts with friendly countries and showing cowardice and weakness in the face of Moroccan blackmail. By doing so, he harms Spain and causes us to lose potential support against Moroccan attacks. Given Sánchez's track record, one has to wonder if that is precisely what Sánchez is aiming for.
