Vigo

Vigo, la ciudad más grande de Galicia, vista desde el Monte del Castro. En primer término vemos el Monumento a los Galeones de Rande, que conmemora la Batalla de Rande de 1702 entre una flota anglo-holandesa, que obtuvo la victoria, y una flota franco-española. En el centro vemos el edificio del ayuntamiento de la ciudad. A la derecha se ve el edificio del Hotel Bahía de Vigo. La franja de agua es la Ría de Vigo, y al otro lado está la Península del Morrazo.

Vigo, the biggest city in Galicia, view from Mount of Castro. First we see the Monument to the Rande Galleons, which commemorates the Battle of Rande (Battle of Vigo Bay), 1702, between an Anglo-Dutch fleet, which gained the victory, and a Franco-Spanish fleet. In the center we see the town hall of the city. To the right is the building of the Hotel Bahía de Vigo. The stretch of water is the Vigo Estuary, and the other side it is the Morrazo Peninsula.
