Bloody Russian attack on playground: tens of children among the victims

Vladimir Putin's dictatorship continues to direct its strategy of terror against the civilian population of Ukraine, including children.

21 children among the victims: 9 killed and 12 injured

This Friday, Russia attacked civilian targets with a missile in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Launching attacks like this against civilian targets is a war crime, but that wasn't enough for the Kremlin: this time one of the targets attacked was a playground, located in the middle of a residential area. Following that first attack, Russia launched a second attack against the same city, this time using drones, following a tactic the Kremlin routinely uses to assassinate emergency services personnel who come to the aid of victims.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine early this morning, these attacks have killed 18 people and injured 61. Because the attack likely occurred while some children were playing in the playground, 21 children are among the victims of these attacks: 9 of them were killed and 12 were injured.

Zelensky: “Russia knows exactly what they are targeting”

In relation to this attack, this Friday, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said:

These are not humans, just scum. There are no proper words for these Russian bastards. These attacks are no accident—Russia knows exactly what they are targeting. They promised the U.S. to protect such sites, yet their words always end with missiles, drones, bombs, or artillery. For them, diplomacy is meaningless. That’s why Russia must face real consequences for every lie, every strike, every life taken, and every day they prolong this war.

You can see here a video recorded moments after the attack and distributed by Igor Sushko, who points out that the Russians used ballistic missiles with cluster warheads, a type of weapon that seeks to cause more damage, since it launches a multitude of submunitions at the target. Using this type of weapon against civilians is an atrocity.

Do some people want Ukraine to cede part of its land to these murderers?

Once again, I absolutely condemn these terrorist attacks by Russia. These attacks against unarmed civilians, in an attempt to provoke terror among the Ukrainian civilian population, are the clearest proof that Russia has failed on the battlefield and intends to win the war by murdering children.

I wonder what those who want Ukraine to give in to these terrorists and who want a portion of the Ukrainian people to resign themselves to living under the rule of these unscrupulous murderers have to say about this, for the sake of a "peace" that means Vladimir Putin will benefit from this invasion and the war crimes that Russian forces have committed against the Ukrainian civilian population.
