Russian terrorism has begun Holy Week by carrying out an attack against Christians celebrating Palm Sunday.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this morning at 10:48 CET that Russia attacked the city of Sumy, in northern Ukraine, with a ballistic missile. The attack, again against civilian targets, took place "just as there were many people on the streets" during the celebrations of the Christian holiday of Palm Sunday. The State Emergency Service added:
Rescue teams and police arrived at the scene of the accident from the first minutes. Many victims. According to preliminary data, 21 people have now died and at least 20 more have been injured. People were injured in the streets, in cars, on public transportation, and in homes.
+ UPDATED 1:27 PM: The president of Ukraine says that 31 people have been murdered, including 2 children, and 84 injured, including 10 children, in this Russian terrorist attack.
+ UPDATED 5:02 PM: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported that 32 people have been murdered, including 2 children, and 99 people have been injured, including 11 children.
+ UPDATED 5:32 PM: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has just announced that 34 people have been killed, including 2 children, and 117 people have been injured, including 15 children, as a result of the Russian terrorist attack in Sumy.
+ UPDATED 6:58 PM: Ukrainian President Zelensky points out that Russia used two ballistic missiles in this attack: "The first hit a building, one of the university buildings. The second exploded literally above the street". Zelensky highlighted the fact that Russia attacked civilian targets again, taking advantage of a Christian holiday: "The blow fell right in the center of the city. On Palm Sunday. Only a completely deranged bastard could do something like that".
