What the left does in Cuba is also not give “any chance to the right”?

I've been saying for years that there's nothing more similar to a fascist than a communist. Both have a profound hatred for freedom.

Yesterday, the Minister of Culture in Pedro Sánchez's government, the far-left Ernest Urtasun, stated regarding the possibility of calling early elections in Spain: "I believe that there is a majority of left-wing voters in this country who want this government to continue governing and for this government to implement transformative policies, and who do not want to give the right and the far right any chance in this country."

The minister's statement is blatantly contradictory. If he truly believed there was a left-wing majority, why would he reject calling early elections? Especially considering we have a government that has been failing to fulfill its constitutional duty to present a budget for several years due to a lack of parliamentary support. A government that is now tainted by corruption scandals and that is causing Spain's international image to become increasingly damaged.

With these statements, Urtasun demonstrates that this government does not believe it has the support of a majority of Spaniards. In fact, it should be remembered that the Popular Party won the last general elections, and that if the PSOE continues to govern it is because it bought the support of the far left and the separatists with the money of all Spaniards and by granting an amnesty to the perpetrators of the 2017 separatist coup in Catalonia as payment for their support, an amnesty that Sánchez and 12 of his ministers rejected because it was contrary to the Constitution, before that measure became the price to pay for remaining in power.

Regarding the Minister of Culture's words, we must not forget that Urtasun is one of the ministers of Sumar, the electoral brand used by the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) in the last general elections. In case anyone is unaware of this fact, Sumar and the PCE have been supporting dictatorships such as Cuba, Palestine, Venezuela, Belarus, Communist China, North Korea, Iran and Vietnam, which have among other common denominators the repression of all those who dare to criticize the governments of those countries. In Cuba, China, North Korea and Vietnam, the communist party has held power for many years without free elections, repressing the opposition, without political pluralism, without civil liberties and in a single-party regime.

In addition to associating with supporters of dictatorships, Pedro Sánchez's government has openly displayed its friendly relations with the communist dictatorships of Cuba, China and Vietnam, three of those one-party regimes. Is that the idea that the Spanish left has of not giving "any chance to the right"? Among the opportunities that the left is willing to deny to right-wing Spaniards is the right to elect their representatives in free and democratic elections, following the example of their colleagues in Cuba and China? Of course, Spain has a government that is already unable to hide its authoritarian drift, a drift that is accentuated as more corruption scandals involving the Socialists emerge. Is this how the left was going to regenerate democracy in Spain?
