The Spanish Army formation that could not fly in the October 12 parade

Last Sunday, October 12th, the traditional air parade for Spain's National Day had to be partially canceled.

Bad weather forced a reduction in the number of formations scheduled for the air parade. As we saw here on Sunday, 45 planes and 29 helicopters were scheduled to fly, but in the end only 19 planes flew, 15 of them belonging to the Air Force and 4 from the Navy's Aircraft Flotilla (FLOAN).

The 14th formation of the air parade, which did not fly, was to have been made up of 8 helicopters from the Army's Air Mobile Forces (FAMET). It was to have included two CH-47F Chinook heavy transport helicopters from the V Transport Helicopter Battalion (BHELTRA V), one EC-665 Tigre attack helicopter from the 1st Attack Helicopter Battalion (BHELA I), two AS-532 Cougar medium transport helicopters from the III and IV Maneuver Helicopter Battalions (BHELMA III and BHELMA IV) and one NH-90 transport helicopter from BHELMA III.

The formation also included two Eurocopter EC-135, one belonging to the Army Aviation Academy (ACAVIET) and another from the Emergency Helicopter Battalion II (BHELEME II), attached to the UME and whose helicopters have the striking livery that we can see above these lines.
