Ternopil: Russia kills 26 civilians, including 3 children, amid a scandalous silence

Vladimir Putin's dictatorship continues its terrorist attacks against civilian targets in Ukraine, with bloody results.

On the night of Tuesday, November 18, to Wednesday, November 19, Russia launched a new massive attack against Ukraine with 48 missiles and 476 drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force this morning. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down 41 Russian missiles and 442 drones. The attack was primarily directed against the Lviv, Ternopil, and Kharkiv regions. The attack on Lviv forced the Polish Air Force and allied countries to deploy fighter jets in case Russian missiles landed on NATO territory, as had happened before.

The death toll from the terrorist attack on Ternopil has been rising throughout the morning as emergency services cleared debris from several residential buildings attacked by Russia. At 2:09 p.m. CET, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that 25 people had been killed, including 3 children, and 73 people were injured, including 15 children. The number of victims may rise as rescue services continue searching for people under the rubble.

+ UPDATED 20.11.2025 18:10h: The President of Ukraine announced today at 8:51 a.m. CET that the death toll has risen to 26, including 3 children, in this Russian attack on Ternopil. The number of dead could be higher as rescue services are still searching for 22 missing people.

This morning, the President of Ukraine stated: "Every brazen attack against ordinary life proves that the pressure on Russia is still insufficient. Effective sanctions and assistance for Ukraine can change this. The top priority is air defense missiles, additional systems, expanded capabilities for our combat aviation, and drone production to protect lives. Russia must be held accountable for its actions, and we must stay focused on everything that strengthens us and enables us to shoot down Russian missiles, neutralize Russian drones, and stop assaults. Thank you to everyone around the world who is helping."

Once again, the question arises: what protests will we see in the West against these terrorist acts by Putin's dictatorship? I'm not referring only to the utter indifference of the far left, which seems only interested in demonstrating against Israel and NATO. We must also ask about the scandalous silence of so many others regarding these Russian crimes, a silence that has become commonplace, while the Russian Federation, the legal successor to the USSR and the continuation of its criminal policies, commits massacres of civilians every week, frequently with children as victims, about which many politicians, parties, media outlets, and civil organizations say absolutely nothing, as if this horror were of no concern to them.
