12,000 people murdered in Iran in the brutal crackdown on protests

The dictatorship of Ali Khamenei is unleashing the highest levels of violence to quell protests against that dictatorship.

Iran has been under a near-total internet blackout for 120 hours, ordered by the dictatorship. Communications over the network were censored late on January 8, according to NetBlocks. Now everything indicates that the Ali Khamenei regime didn't want any witnesses to what it was about to do next.

This information has been confirmed by several sources within the regime

Eight hours ago, the editorial committee of Iran International, a Persian-language news network reporting on the protests in that country, reported that the Islamist regime has murdered 12,000 people in its brutal crackdown on popular protests. This outlet "has carefully reviewed, in several stages and based on professional standards, the information received from a source close to the Supreme National Security Council, two sources in the presidential office, accounts received from various sources in the Revolutionary Guard in the cities of Mashhad, Kermanshah, and Isfahan, eyewitness accounts and relatives of the dead, field reports, data related to medical centers, and information provided to us by doctors and nurses in various cities."

“The biggest massacre in Iran's contemporary history”

After compiling all this information, Iran International concludes: “In the largest massacre in Iran’s contemporary history, at least 12,000 people were murdered, most of them on two consecutive nights, Thursday and Friday, January 8 and 9.” In other words, the bulk of the massacre took place immediately after the internet blackout was imposed in the country. In its conclusions about this savage wave of repression unleashed by the dictatorship of Ali Khamenei, Iran International adds: “This massacre is unprecedented in Iran’s history in terms of its geographical scope, intensity of violence, and number of deaths in a short period of time.”

“This massacre was carried out on the personal orders of Ali Khamenei”

Iran International also points to the intellectual and material authors of this massacre: "According to information received by Iran International, these citizens were killed primarily by the Revolutionary Guard and Basij forces. This massacre was completely organized, not the result of 'scattered' or 'unplanned' clashes." Iran International adds:

"Information received by Iran International from the Supreme National Security Council and the Presidential Office indicates that this massacre was carried out on the personal orders of Ali Khamenei, with the explicit notification and approval of the heads of the three branches of government, and with the issuance of a direct firing order by the Supreme National Security Council."

“Many of the victims were young people under 30 years old”

Regarding the victims, Iran International notes: “Many of the victims were young people under 30 years old.” This information network, using Iranian language, exposes the information blackout the dictatorship has imposed on the country to perpetrate this massacre: “The country’s media outlets have been shut down. Hundreds of national and local newspapers have been closed since Thursday, an unprecedented event in the history of the Iranian press. Currently, aside from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, only a few news websites are active in the country, and they too operate under censorship and direct control by the security institutions.”

Iran International states: "The Islamic Republic cannot conceal this crime by isolating the Iranian people from the world. The truth will be recorded; the names of the victims will be preserved; and this massacre will not be buried in silence." This information network has announced: "After carefully verifying and evaluating the information, Iran International will publish its findings and make them available to all relevant international authorities and institutions."
