Another example of Russian 'human safaris' against Ukrainian civilians

Brutal Russian terrorist attack on a bus in Ukraine, seeing that it was full of civilians

Putin's dictatorship continues to perpetrate war crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine in its war of aggression against that country.

This afternoon, at 12:38 PM CET, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced via his personal Twitter account: "Seven people are currently in the hospital after a Russian FPV drone struck an ordinary city minibus in Nikopol. Another nine received assistance at the scene. Tragically, four people were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones."

Zelensky added: "The Russians continue their deliberate terror against people in Nikopol and other cities and communities near the frontline. Just days ago, there was a cynical strike on a market in Nikopol that killed five people and injured another 28. In Kherson, civilians are effectively subjected to constant so-called “safaris”, with casualties every day. It is important that a significant number of drones are still being shot down. But when such terror against people and lives occurs daily, blocking new sanctions against Russia, attempting to weaken existing ones, and trading with Russia all look bizarre."

The photos you can see here were published by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) this morning at 8:26 AM CET on their Telegram channel, describing the incident as follows: "A brutal attack on civilian public transport. Right in the middle of rush hour, when people were heading to work". In their statement, the DSNS added: "Russia deliberately attacks civilians. This is not an accident, it is their tactic. Deliberate attacks against civilians. Every such incident is being documented by investigators".

Nikopol is in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in eastern Ukraine. Its capital, Dnipro, has been bombed many times by the Russians, causing numerous civilian casualties. The use of FPV drones in these attacks on civilians indicates that the Russians clearly see what they are attacking. In fact, in several areas of Ukraine, the invaders are carrying out veritable "human safaris" against civilians using drones for sheer amusement, a criminal practice that is already commonplace in regions like Kherson, in southern Ukraine.

According to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, what Russia is perpetrating in Ukraine already constitutes the crime of genocide. Putin's dictatorship is no longer seeking military objectives, a task it has proven incapable of achieving for the past four years, since it was forced to withdraw from the Kyiv region and northern Ukraine in the face of tenacious Ukrainian resistance. Putin has transformed this invasion into a war of extermination against the civilian population of Ukraine, all while Russia maintains its permanent seat on the UN Security Council, wielding veto power.
