The military vehicles on display in Vigo to mark Spanish Armed Forces Day

This morning, Montero Ríos Street in Vigo hosted the opening ceremony of a large exhibition to mark Armed Forces Day.

The exhibition was inaugurated with a solemn raising of the Spanish flag, presided over by Major General Marcial González Prada, Chief of the Army's Maneuver Support Command (MAM), based in La Coruña. The ceremony was attended by commanders from the Army, the Navy, and the Military Emergency Unit (UME), and consisted of a parade of soldiers from the "Isabel La Católica" Light Infantry Regiment No. 29, belonging to the 'Galicia' VII Brigade (BRILAT) of the Army, based in Figueirido (Pontevedra), who were accompanied by the BRILAT War Band and the MAM Music Unit.
