A review of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', the 18th film of this superhero

This week saw the release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," the 18th film featuring this superhero and the seventh in which Tom Holland portrays this Marvel character. He is now the actor who has worn the suit of the famous New York hero created by J.A. Lee and Steve Ditko the most times. At this point, things might start to decline, but has that happened? Well, in my personal opinion, no, I'd even say things are getting better after seeing this new film.

It's been five years since "Spider-Man: No Way Home," the last Spider-Man film starring Holland, was released. The previous films were huge box office successes, growing with each new installment. This time, we find Spider-Man living alone, but with more characters that make this film very interesting. One of them is the Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal. As before, we also have Zendaya as MJ and Jon Bernthal, as well as Sadie Sink, who gives an excellent performance as a character who has intrigued me for decades, and about whom I won't reveal any details, even though I'm dying to (I'm biting my tongue, so I'll move on to the next paragraph).

I'm a big fan of the three Spider-Man films directed by Sam Raimi between 2002 and 2007. I think Tobey Maguire did a great job in them, and those films were very necessary at a time when New York was trying to heal its wounds and reclaim one of its old heroes after the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001. However, I must say that "Spider-Man: No Way Home" struck me as one of the best Spider-Man films I've seen so far. It's the most mature of the ones Holland has starred in, and it has something that particularly appeals to me: spectacular cinematography.

The movie is very entertaining and flies by despite being over two hours long. Anyway, I loved it and highly recommend it, especially if you're a Spider-Man fan (I've been one since I was a kid, like now but shorter). Here's the trailer:
