Bayona: A Bonfire of St John Next to Monterreal Castle

One more year in Galicia the magical night of St John is celebrated, with its characteristic bonfires. Like every year, I went to the bonfire of Ribeira Beach, in Bayona, next to the walls of the impressive Monterreal Castle. This beach was precisely where the crew of the caravel "La Pinta" arrived in 1493, being the first place in Europe to hear the news of the Discovery of America. Can you imagine a place with more history to celebrate tonight?
