Deportation champions now protest against deportations in the United States

The protests in Los Angeles against Trump's immigration deportations are leaving some curious images.

One of them is this AFP photo, taken in that California city on June 8, in which we see a hooded protester demonstrating against the deportations with a Soviet Union flag. Regardless of what one thinks about these deportations, it must be remembered that the USSR was a communist dictatorship that carried out mass deportations of Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian citizens to Siberia, citizens who were not illegal immigrants nor had committed any crimes: their only "mistake" was being considered enemies by that dictatorship.

On 19 September, the European Parliament recalled these crimes against humanity in its condemnation of communism and Nazism, noting that "the Nazi and communist regimes carried out mass murders, genocide and deportations and caused a loss of life and freedom in the 20th century on a scale unseen in human history."

I agree with Dispropaganda's opinion on that photo: "Wearing a Soviet flag to an anti deportation protest is like wearing a nazi flag to a an anti racism demonstration." Once again, it is clear that the cynicism of the far left is hard to overcome.
