Many years ago, Spain was a great empire with such vast dominions and in such diverse locations that it was said the sun never set there.
This Saturday, the always interesting channel Aventuras Entresierras (which I recommend subscribing to if you like exploring abandoned places, bivouacs, and nature) published a video recorded on a beautiful, secluded beach, surrounded by cliffs. One of those places that seems to only exist in movies.
Since sunbathing on the sand is so boring, our friend Caracortada set out to explore the area around the beach and found a hidden gem among the vegetation. He didn't want to identify the location in his video, so I won't either (it's easy to find, though). I'll simply say that this little paradise was part of Spain until three centuries ago, and in that particular spot, there was almost more than just a fight between the Spanish Armada and the local population in the 16th century, without any bloodshed in the end (the video is in Spanish, you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):
Since this is a short video, I'll only post two screenshots today. If you want to discover the secret of this place, watch the video. It's worth it (for a moment I thought the main character was going to enter an unknown dimension: we'll have to buy him a TARDIS for that kind of journey). 😉
