With an area of 9,984,670 square kilometers, Canada is the second largest country in the world and the largest in the Americas.
At Explorando.info, we've previously seen some of Canada's beautiful forested and mountainous landscapes. This time, we will see a particularly beautiful area of British Columbia, one of the western provinces of that North American country.
When we talk about a "province," many Europeans might get a bit of a misconception, since British Columbia covers an area of 944,735 square kilometers (to give you an idea, Spain has a total area of 506,030). Despite this, that Canadian province only has 5 million inhabitants (less than half that of Portugal, which has 10.58 million).
Much of that province is uninhabited. After all, 64% of British Columbia's land area is forested, and it's home to 25% of the world's temperate rainforests. A gem for nature lovers, it's also home to some rarely visited places, such as the beautiful mountainous area we can see in a video published today by Foresty Forest, which declined to reveal its exact location:
Regarding the mountain we see in the first half of the video, the author points out that the summit was first summited in 1925, just 100 years ago. In the second half of the video, we see another summit where some climbers have left souvenirs (including an old Kodak film case and a piece of paper written in 1963, as well as a banknote from the Kingdom of Nepal). You can see some screenshots from this gem of a video here.
