Driving in big cities is often a chore, but driving in some rural areas is a very pleasant activity.
This is the case with the English countryside, crisscrossed by roads that wind through verdant landscapes, a feast for the eyes. One example is the Yorkshire Dales in northern England, a mountainous area that forms a national park established in 1954 and located in the historic county of Yorkshire, primarily in the present-day county of North Yorkshire and parts of Cumbria, covering a total area of 1,769 square kilometers.
A few days ago, the YouTube channel Dashcam Roadshow Relaxing Drives published a video of a drive through this national park, starting from Sedbergh, Cumbria, passing through the beautiful scenery of the Buttertubs Pass in North Yorkshire, and ending in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. The video includes one hour and 24 minutes of beautiful landscapes and historic villages, a real treat for anyone who enjoys driving.
You can see here some of the landscapes that appear in this video. It's as if they've built a paved road through the Shire of Middle-earth.
