Spectacular assault exercise by the FGNE on the Spanish Navy's ship 'Carnota'

The Special Naval Warfare Force (FGNE) is the Spanish Navy's highly trained special operations unit.

Due to its naval nature, the FGNE specializes in all types of operations at sea, including ship assaults. This week, the Spanish Navy published a 360º video in which we can see in detail an FGNE assault exercise on the multipurpose vessel "Carnota" A-61, near the base of this elite unit, which is located at the Algameca Naval Station, in Cartagena (Murcia):

Up to three FGNE boats can be seen in the video. One transports the operators of an Estol (as the FGNE calls its combat teams) and the other two provide support. Here we see one of the support boats in the foreground, and in the background the boat transporting the members of an Estol.

The assault boat approaches the "Carnota" from the port side. We see the members of the Estol pointing their assault rifles at the ship.

An image in which we can see the rifles in more detail. They are Heckler & Koch HK416s, caliber 5.56 mm. Unlike other occasions, when we have seen the FGNE soldiers with the emblems of their Estol in the area of operations, in this exercise they wore a patch with the FGNE shield on their right arm.

A camouflage detail: The boat crew (the pilot and gunner) wear tactical shirts with arid pixelated M09 Spanish camouflage, with Multicam camouflage plate vests. The Estol members wear fully Multicam uniforms and equipment.

The Estol members gather at the stern of the "Carnota" ship, using a container as a parapet, before continuing the assault. They all carry HK416 assault rifles. To the right, we see one of the weapons' accessories: a laser pointer mounted on the top of the forend.
