Violent attack on the Vuelta a España by far-leftists waving Palestinian flags

The extreme left has once again used its usual tool, violence, against the Vuelta Ciclista a España, this time in Madrid.

Today's stage of La Vuelta runs from Robledo de Chavela to Bola del Mundo. Far-leftists waving Palestinian flags blocked the road in Cercedilla, so the race organisers decided to avoid that town on the route, leaving many fans unable to enjoy the cyclists' passage due to a group of violent individuals.

Finally, 18 kilometers from the finish line, another group of far-leftists with Palestinian flags blocked the road. The Civil Guard managed to create a gap for the cyclists to pass. Seeing that their blockade was failing, the far-leftists attacked the sportsmen, a violent act that put the cyclists at serious risk and led to a clash with security forces. This is no longer protesting: this is seeking to harm cyclists, a clear crime with which these left-wing extremists make it clear that they believe anything goes to achieve their goals, even violence. This is intolerable in a democracy, and the full weight of the law must fall on these violent individuals.

Furthermore, it should be noted that these acts of violence have masterminds: they have been openly instigated by far-left parties such as Podemos, which three days ago called for blocking cyclists from passing through Valladolid. This is a clear crime of public disorder, punishable by up to 3 years in prison under Article 557 of the Penal Code. Justice must act against those who have carried out these acts of violence and against those who have instigated them. Attacking a sporting event in this way cannot be free.
