A comment on 'Tron: Ares', the third installment of this science fiction saga

This week, theaters will see the release of "Tron: Ares," a sequel to the films "Tron" (1982) and "Tron: Legacy" (2010).

This new film was directed by Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Rønning. The music is by the American band Nine Inch Nails, who created a magnificent soundtrack. It's one of the film's highlights.

The cast of this film is practically new compared to the previous ones. I won't give any more details about it for those who want to go see it knowing the bare minimum. What I do want to highlight is that it is a film with many nods to the 1980s generation., which I particularly liked, since being born in 1975, a lot of my tastes are very '80s.

I really enjoyed the first two films. I saw "Tron" when I was a kid and it blew me away; it's a film that always left me speechless. I quite enjoyed the 2010 sequel, but I think this third installment is even better. And the best thing, coming from Disney, is that it's a film without any "woke" ideological messages, or at least I didn't perceive them (it seems the Mickey Mouse brand is learning from its failures).
