The Prime Minister of Spain continues his campaign in favor of dictator Nicolás Maduro, further escalating his rhetoric against the US.
In his latest message regarding the capture of Nicolás Maduro, Sánchez wrote: "Respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states is a non-negotiable principle. From Ukraine to Gaza, passing through Venezuela." A controversial, manipulative, and despicable comment that has already garnered over a thousand replies in just three hours.
A miserable comparison that whitewashes Putin and Hamas
With those words, what Sánchez is doing is equating the capture of a dictator and drug trafficker like Maduro with the atrocious Russian crimes against the Ukrainian people, crimes perpetrated as part of a large-scale and unprovoked invasion in which the dictatorship of Vladimir Putin is focusing its attacks on the civilian population, as part of a strategy of terror that has already lasted almost four years.
It must also be remembered that Gaza is a nest of terrorists from which Hamas perpetrated the largest anti-Semitic massacre since the Holocaust on October 7, 2023, murdering, torturing and raping men, women, children and even babies. Despite these crimes, Sánchez has already done scandalous favors for Hamas, rewarding its terrorist attack with his support for the recognition of Palestine as a state, receiving praise in return from that criminal organization.
Maduro's criminal organization that the PSOE refused to condemn
The favors the Spanish government gives to criminal organizations also explain its position in the case of Venezuela. Let us remember that Nicolás Maduro is the head of a criminal organization, the Cartel of the Suns, which has profited from the illegal trafficking of fentanyl to the US, a dangerous drug that has killed more than 200,000 US citizens since 2023. We are talking about death tolls typical of a war. It's important to remember that the PSOE, Sánchez's party, has already refused to condemn the activities of this criminal organization twice, which exposes their support for Maduro. These messages contrast sharply with the PSOE's position in 2024, voting against calling for an end to repression in Venezuela.
The shady dealings of Sánchez's party with the Venezuelan dictatorship
So far, Sánchez has dedicated more messages to aiding Maduro than to supporting the opposition to that dictatorship, an anti-democratic regime that Sánchez's communist partners openly support. It's worth remembering that Spanish socialism has maintained shady dealings with the Maduro dictatorship through a highly controversial figure, the former socialist president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. A few weeks ago I already warned here that if the Venezuelan socialist regime falls, it could drag Spanish socialism down with it, bringing to light these dealings, especially those related to Zapatero's very lucrative businesses in Venezuela and with one of the important political corruption schemes that affect the PSOE.
It is this eagerness to protect each other that leads Sánchez to go out of his way for a criminal like Maduro, after having treated the opposition to that dictator with disdain for years (let us remember that he didn't even want to congratulate María Corina Machado for obtaining the Nobel Peace Prize and refused to recognize Edmundo González as the elected president of Venezuela after he won the presidential elections against Maduro. Furthermore, there is also an ideological component to Sánchez's alignment with Maduro's allies. The Venezuelan dictatorship declares itself socialist, just like Sánchez. Once again, as the saying goes, dog doesn't eat dog.
