The totalitarians tried to disrupt a massive mobilization in support of Ceuta

Communists and nazis, the useful idiots of Morocco and Pedro Sánchez in Spain

For years I have been saying that there is nothing more like a nazi than a communist, and vice versa, for different reasons.

Criminal movements: communism and nazism deserve the same rejection
Communists and nazis come to the rescue of the Iranian dictatorship, just as they did with Russia

Besides their common denominator, hatred of democracy, both totalitarian movements also tend to share other characteristics, such as antisemitism (usually disguised as "anti-Zionism" in the case of communists) and hatred of the West and capitalism. Lately, communists and nazis have also demonstrated clear similarities in their international affinities, acting in practice as the useful idiots of dictatorships like Russia and Iran.

A massive and peaceful mobilization in support of Ceuta

This Wednesday, Spain experienced an unprecedented mobilization in support of Ceuta in response to the migrant invasion launched by Morocco against that Spanish city on July 30, and also to denounce the despicable attitude of Pedro Sánchez's government, which is effectively acting as the Moroccan government's lackey. This massive mobilization, with multitudes of Spaniards demonstrating peacefully in hundreds of locations, also had another noteworthy aspect: the presence of the People's Party (PP) and Vox at many of the demonstrations, setting aside their differences to confront a problem that seriously affects our territorial integrity.

The communists of Podemos are doing Morocco a great favor

Of course, there were attempts to break that unity and to ensure the demonstrations were not peaceful. In Madrid, the communist party Podemos called a counter-demonstration to "stop racism." During this protest, Podemos accused the PP and Vox parties of being "racist"The communist Irene Montero, former Minister of Equality in the Sánchez government and MEP for Podemos, called for welcoming illegal immigrants arriving from Morocco and equated them with refugees arriving from Ukraine, as if Moroccans were fleeing some war or as if Ukrainian refugees had illegally entered Spain attacking our soldiers and committing acts of violence like those recently seen in Ceuta by Moroccan immigrants.

In this matter, and although it disguises its position with criticism of Morocco, Podemos has once again acted as a party seeking to harm and destabilize Spain by any means, also taking advantage of acts of hybrid warfare such as the one launched by the Moroccan regime against Ceuta on July 30. Just as it did with Russia and Iran, Podemos is now acting as one of Morocco's useful idiots, trying to ensure the success of this migrant invasion and make its effects irreversible. In fact, Podemos has not held a demonstration in support of Ceuta nor a criticism of Morocco. What it has done is stage a counter-demonstration against those of us who demonstrated yesterday to support Ceuta and to denounce the betrayal of Pedro Sánchez's government.

A Nazi group attempted to manipulate a rally in Madrid

It must be said that the Podemos communists weren't the only useful idiots yesterday. The nazi group Núcleo Nacional (NN) joined yesterday's demonstration in front of Congress in Madrid, an event organized by Ceuta residents living in the Spanish capital. Hours before the demonstration, this Nazi group called for the national emblem to be cut off Spanish flags, stating: "Cut off the emblem of the 1978 regime. Cut off the emblem of the traitors". Once the demonstration in front of Congress ended, hooded nazis attacked the police, throwing glass bottles, chairs, firecrackers, and other objects. Four police officers were injured and four rioters were arrested.

A nazi group remotely controlled by the government or mere fanatics?

It is no coincidence that the very rally that this Nazi group tried to infiltrate ended up being the only one of yesterday's hundreds of demonstrations where any violent incidents occurred, as it was a massive and peaceful mobilization. There has long been a debate about the true nature of these troublemakers: are groups like NN being controlled by the government, or are they simply hooligans looking for trouble?

I don't intend to resolve that dilemma here. Certainly, it would be very easy for the socialist dirty tricks department to control those kinds of groups. Personally, I think we can say the same thing about neo-nazi groups as we do about communist groups: their agenda has nothing to do with either the defense of Ceuta or denouncing the migrant invasion launched from Morocco. The nazis were seeking some notoriety by organizing incidents, and they succeeded, offering precisely the image that the government and its affiliated media wanted to demonize the multitude of Spaniards who love democracy and who demonstrated peacefully yesterday. They are just as much useful idiots for Morocco and Pedro Sánchez as the communists in Podemos.
