The DVIDS site of the US Armed Forces yesterday published an interesting video recorded a few days ago, in which it shows an interception of Russian fighters over the Baltic Sea.
The event took place on December 23, 2017. Two F-15 fighters of the 493d Fighter Squadron (Grim Reapers) of the United States Air Force, based at RAF Lakenheath (United Kingdom) and temporarily deployed at the Šiauliai Air Base (Lithuania) in a Baltic Air Police (BAP) mission, received an alert Scramble after detect two Russian Sukhoi Su-30 fighters flying without a flight plan and without transmitting the appropriate codes required by air traffic control. These situations are repeated with some frequency due to the passage of Russian aircraft in the direction of the Kaliningrad enclave. In this case, the mission consisted of identifying the Russian planes and escorting them to their airspace. You can see here the video of the interception:
