Vox has confirmed that she will replace Iván Espinosa de los Monteros

Two examples of the oratory of Pepa Millán, the new spokesperson of Vox in the Congress

As various media have announced this Tuesday, Vox would have already chosen the person in charge of replacing Iván Espinosa de los Monteros.

Yesterday, Ok Diary , EDATV and The Objective announced that Pepa Millán would be the new spokesperson for Vox in Congress, a position she held Iván Espinosa de los Monteros until his abandonment of politics a few days ago. At the moment, Vox has not confirmed or denied this news through its official channels. Neither have the party's spokespersons nor the deputy herself done so on her Twitter account.

UPDATED 3:40 p.m.: This noon, Vox has confirmed the appointment of Pepa Millán as its new spokesperson in Congress.

María José Rodríguez de Millán Parro, better known as Pepa Millán, was born in Cabra (Córdoba) in 1995, is graduated in Law from the University of Seville and she worked as an advisor to the Vox parliamentary group in the Andalusian Parliament. She has been a columnist in the newspaper La Razón. In July 2022 she was elected Senator by autonomous designation by the Parliament of Andalusia, representing Vox. In the general elections on July 23 she was number 5 on the Vox list for Madrid, being elected deputy.

Pepa Millán has her active Twitter account since March 2019, and on this social network she has demonstrated to be an active defender of the right to life, something that I find worthy of praise. In the Senate she has proven to be a good speaker despite being so young (I say this because I am 20 years older than her, and I don't speak that well in public). You can see two examples below. The first corresponds to a plenary session of the Senate held on January 31, 2023, in which he delivered a brave speech reproaching Pedro Sánchez to his face for his disastrous management at the head of the government (the video is in Spanish, you can activate the automatic subtitles in English in the bottom bar of the player):

The second video is from a plenary session of the Senate on May 10. In this speech, Pepa Millán left the ERC separatists in the ground in relation to the curious idea of "historical memory" defended by this far-left party:

While waiting for Vox to confirm or deny this appointment, I take this opportunity to wish Pepa Millán a good legislature in defense of Vox's principles. As a voter of this party, it is a pleasure to see myself so well represented by her and her fellow parliamentary group members.
