As is his habit, Vladimir Putin wanted revenge for the recent Ukrainian coups against Russian military targets.
In recent hours, instead of hitting military targets, Russia has once again directed indiscriminate attacks against civilian targets, a war crime that has been repeated since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the 24th. February 2022. An invasion that is already a crime against a sovereign and independent country, for no other reason than Putin's imperialist ambitions.
This attack consisted of the launch of 158 missiles and drones against several Ukrainian cities. Ukrainian anti-aircraft defenses have shot down 27 drones and 87 missiles, which has prevented more victims, given the severity of this massive attack.
Despite this, the Russian attack has killed 18 civilians and injuring 132, according to data from the Ukrainian National Police. The attacks have reached all types of civilian facilities. In Dnipro, the Russian attack hit a maternity hospital, killing 5 people, including a child. In Odessa a residential area was attacked, killing 2 people. In Zaporizhia, 6 people were murdered and in Kharkiv, 3. In Lviv, a residential area and an educational center were attacked, killing one person. Likewise, in the country's capital, kyiv, the Russian attack hit a warehouse, killing 2 people.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andrii Kostin, has opened a new trial for war crimes, following this attack against residential areas, hospitals and educational centers.
