Vladimir Putin's terrorist regime continues its indiscriminate attacks against the civilian population of Ukraine.
The most recent terrorist attack by Russian invaders took place this Saturday in Chernihiv, in northern Ukraine. The Russians attacked the city center with a missile, reaching a theater and killing 5 people there and injuring 37, including 11 children. Among the people who were hit in the theater and outside the theater, there are a total of 7 people killed and 144 injured, including 15 children. Here we can see the moment of the fall of the missile on the theater:
The Russian army launched a missile attack on a theater in the center of Chernihiv. They did it on purpose at noon, on a weekend, to kill more civilians.

The Russian attack occurred during a holiday for Orthodox Christianity, the feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus. The Russian terrorists, whom some consider to be defenders of the Christian faith (sounds like a macabre joke), do not respect the civilian population nor the parties of the same religion that Putin and his henchmen claim to profess.

I'm sorry if this image hurts the sensitivity of some readers, but we have to open our eyes: here we see one of the people hit by the Russian attack yesterday, lying in a pool of blood (photo: Денис Казанський).
This girl was called Sofia, she was 6 years old and she is one of the people killed yesterday in that Russian terrorist attack against Chernihiv. She was an only child. Russia has destroyed yet another family (photo: Olexander Scherba).
This Saturday, the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine reported that Russian invaders have already killed 502 children and injured more than 1,100 since the beginning of the Ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
This is happening in a country in Europe, at the gates of the European Union and NATO. The aggressor, the terrorist state that is committing these atrocities, has a seat on the Security Council of the UN, with the right of veto. How can this be?
Of course, I don't mean to make the fanatics who support Putin reflect. Those who support and justify a terrorist's crimes are just as terrorists as he is, and I refuse to try to reason with terrorists. I do want to recall the famous words of Martin Luther King, written in 1963 from Birmingham jail: "We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.".
It is chilling to see that terrorist acts like yesterday's in Chernihiv no longer make the front pages of many Western media outlets. It is as if some had already gotten used to such a terrible war in Europe and no longer even considered something like this news. Likewise, some politicians of different persuasions maintain a deafening silence on this, as if denouncing Russia's crimes in Ukraine is an uncomfortable topic, or perhaps as if it is an irrelevant issue compared to other issues that occupy your schedule.
How many more murdered children will it take to break that silence? How many more atrocities will the Russians have to commit before some stop casting a veil of indifference over the pain of the Ukrainian people? What ethical, moral and democratic values do those who insist on looking the other way boast of in the face of the largest wave of State terrorism that Europe has experienced in decades?
