A message from the tranquillity of not depending on political favors

What will be the future of Counting Stars in Galicia on February 19 and onwards?

In case some are still unaware (I say this especially for foreigners), Counting Stars is published from Galicia, in Spain.

Counting Stars and its guardian angels
Counting Stars turns 19 with the same freedom and without any subvention

This February 18 there are regional elections called in this Spanish community. I write this post before the polling stations open and with the intention of not having to change a single comma of this article when the election results are published.

These elections are causing different emotions. Today it is possible that things will happen that will be relevant news tomorrow: that the PP loses the regional government or keeps it, that Vox manages to enter the Galician Parliament (it will have my vote for it), and that the left and separatism continue in the opposition or take over the Galician government.

In contrast to the nervousness of others, I accept these elections with calmness, because the next day, no matter what happens today, Galicia will continue to be a land that I love, it will continue to be part of Spain and many people willing to defend Spain and Freedom will continue to live here. A defense in which in recent weeks we have received the support of many people from other Spanish regions, support that I sincerely appreciate and that I will always carry in my memory.

There are people for whom these elections will be a before and after. Some could lose the public positions they have held for years, and others could begin to occupy them. Some media could lose the manna of public subsidies that has been flowing to them from the Galician government for years, and others could begin to benefit from this type of political favors.

Maybe what I'm going to tell you will surprise you, but for Counting Stars today is just another day. Whatever the result of today's Galician elections and the variables it gives rise to, Counting Stars will continue to defend the same thing as before: Spain, Freedom, the cause of life, the rejection of totalitarianism and the defense of Western Judeo-Christian culture. This site does not receive any type of public aid nor does it seek it. This allows me to always defend the same principles with absolute independence. No one has ever dictated to me what I should publish and this will continue to be the case, regardless of the electoral result.

To all those who have seen its principles reflected here during these almost 20 years, especially to my readers of Galicia, I announce to you that on February 19 and onwards you will not be alone: Counting Stars will continue to be a bulwark for resistance against the enemies of Spain and Freedom in Galicia, the most beautiful land in Spain.

Long live Galicia and long live Spain!
