Collecting is a great hobby that doesn't cause problems when it comes to small things like stamps, coins or fountain pens.

Ed Metka is an American citizen who grew up in Chicago and was fascinated by streetcars. In 1986, after spending almost 26 years in the US Army Corps of Engineers, Ed founded Vintage Electric Streetcar Company in Windber, Pennsylvania, and began collecting old electric streetcarsin a forest located next to a former coal mine. His intention was to restore them and give them tourist use. Ed managed to collect more than fifty trams, achieving the largest private collection of trams in the United States.

Unfortunately, vandalism and damage caused by years of being outdoors ended up ruining Ed's dream. His collection became known as the "Trolley Graveyard", an apocalyptic-looking place that was fascinating for photographers, urban explorers and the curious in general.

However, in 2023, upon turning 85, Ed decided to sell what was left of his collection, partly to museums and private collectors, and partly to be scrapped, as some of the trams are in very bad condition. According to pabucketlist.com, the forecast was that in November 2023 the cemetery would no longer exist. Before he disappeared, Ruin Road was there and today he published a video showing it:

You can see here some screenshots of this interesting video about a place that has already gone down in history.
