These days there is a certain debate in some media and on social networks about whether Pedro Sánchez's government encourages Alvise Pérez.
Let us remember that the first to affirm that Alvise could have representation in the European Parliament was the CIS, controlled by the socialist Tezanos. Until then, no electoral poll had given representation to the "Se acabó la fiesta" (SALF) candidacy. Finally, Sánchez cited Alvise several times in his last rallies of the European elections, and he did so precisely in the extracts that were highlighted by the media at the initiative of the PSOE itself.
This is not proof that the socialist government is interested in promoting Alvise. After all, Sánchez also cites Vox a lot to harm the PP and mobilize the leftist vote. However, there is a big difference between both cases: Vox has an ideological line openly opposed to the left, while Alvise agrees with the left on certain issues. For example, today he published an interview that El País did with him in the one in which Alvise criticizes Vox's support for Israel after the Hamas terrorist attack, as if it seemed wrong to him that Vox supports the country attacked by these criminals.
This is no surprise. During his campaign, Alvise has sought to capture the vote of the right-wingers most hostile to Israel with these types of statements. Ultimately, the left does not tolerate dissent and always wants a more docile rightthan a right that dares to oppose it on issues as important as the war between Israel and Hamas. Furthermore, the left will never miss an opportunity to create division on the right using these issues.
Likewise, for the left it is always more convenient to have a right that is easy to parody than a serious right. Alvise did not even bother to present a program before the European elections, which gives an idea of the seriousness with which he has taken his newly launched political career. It is the same reason why there are hardly any commentators related to Vox in almost all the media: there is no desire for the audience to know about a serious project.
As you know, I have been writing this blog for almost 20 years. Unlike Alvise, I never publish information obtained from anonymous sources and I always offer Counting Stars readers access to the sources of information I manage, in addition to verifying everything I publish, which often involves an extra job that could be saved if I didn't take this seriously. The ideology of this blog has been in the public domain for years and is available in three languages. No one has ever been able to reproach me for having published false news and I have only had one lawsuit (from the newspaper Público) that was dismissed by the Justice. That in almost two decades.
Reviewing, do you know how many mentions of me or this blog have appeared in these 20 years in leftist media such as El País, Cadena SER, Público or La Sexta? It occurred to me to do a simple question today search on Google and the result is ZERO. The only mentions are to cite me in photo captions as the author of images taken from my Flickr account (when my photos were in the public domain).
It must be said that this blog does not exactly have a small audience: according to Similarweb, in May it received more than 660,000 visits. This is what happens when you are really annoying to the left: they ostracize you, because they know that even criticizing you can give you publicity and that would end up harming them. I am very clear: I will continue to oppose the left with rigor and seriousness, even if the price to pay is that ostracism.
