At the beginning of April, the Spanish Navy activated its Aeronaval Amphibious Group "Dédalo 24", with a four-month deployment.

This group was led by the aircraft carrier "Juan Carlos I" L-61, accompanied by the Amphibious Assault Ship "Galicia" L-51, the frigates "Reina Sofía" F-84 and "Blas de Lezo" F-103, the First Landing Battalion of the Tercio de Armada (in addition to other units of the Marine Infantry) and an embarked air wing made up of the 9th Squadron (with EAV-8B+ Harrier II Plus fighters) and the 3rd Squadron (with AB-212 helicopters, in their last deployment with the Spanish Navy) of the Aircraft Flotilla (FLOAN).

The deployment of the "Dédalo 24" Group consisted of three phases. The first took place along the coasts of Greece and Turkey, the second along the coasts of Italy and the third in the Atlantic and the Baltic Sea. This deployment has demonstrated the ability of the Spanish Navy to project its force over long distances, a capability that not many NATO naval forces have. Last Thursday, the Spanish Navy published an intense video summary of this Aeronaval Amphibious Group:

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Navy's Social Communication Office for the great work it has been doing, of which this video is a good example, with very good quality images. It is a reference for the Spanish Armed Forces. You can see some screenshots from this video below.
