She recalled that abortion is “killing a human being in the womb of its mother”

As you know, the defense of life against the murder of unborn children is one of the reasons for the existence of this blog.

Not 'interruptions': 2.86 million abortions in Spain explained without euphemisms
The PSOE allowed an event that justified Hamas and now intends to ban a pro-life event

The social acceptance of abortion is one of the greatest tragedies of our time and the clearest sign of the decadence of our society. Nevertheless, in Spain there are still courageous voices that defend the culture of life against the culture of death, as Saint John Paul II aptly summarized the positions in this debate.

Yesterday, Congress debated a PSOE initiative in which it attacked a pro-life event in the Senate that the socialists tried to ban a few weeks ago, after having allowed a demonstration by Palestinian terrorists from the PFLP in Madrid. A clear sign that for the Spanish left, pro-life people have fewer rights than an anti-Semitic criminal organization classified as a terrorist group by the European Union.

In response to the socialists, and as she has done before, MP Lourdes Méndez Monasterio, from Vox (the only pro-life party left in the Spanish Parliament today), made a magnificent speech in defense of life from the rostrum of Congress, speaking about abortion without mincing words and without euphemisms and explaining bluntly what some call voluntary termination of pregnancy really is: "killing a human being in the womb of its mother". All this while hearing the rumors of the hypocrites who support this crime but who do not tolerate someone explaining what it consists of.

Méndez criticised the Popular Party for having adopted the left's theses on this issue, and stated: "Do you think it's right that we are the country in Europe where abortion is growing the most? Do you think it's right that there are all kinds of means and funding to end the life of a child and there are no means to bring it forward?" The Vox Congresswoman recalled a fact that has been denounced by the NGO Red Madre:

"We spend 12 times more on abortions than on helping pregnant women who want to be mothers. Why, ladies and gentlemen, why, with the fiscal plunder we suffer, are our taxes invested in financing deaths and not allocated to saving lives? Why are our taxes not allocated to saving lives?"

My applause to Lourdes for this brave speech. You can listen to it in full here (the video is in Spanish, you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):
