For years, Putin's regime propagandists have been portraying the Russian dictator as a great defender of Christian values.

However, the facts indicate just the opposite. This week, Vladimir Putin and Iranian dictator Masoud Pezeshkian signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Among other aspects, this agreement includes collaboration between both dictatorships in matters of security and defense. Let us remember that Iran has been delivering HESA Shahed 136 suicide drones to Russia, with which Putin's dictatorship has been attacking the civilian population of Ukraine, as part of its war of aggression against that country.

This agreement has come to light after the publication of a new report by the NGO Open Doors, which states that Iran ranks 9th among the 50 countries that persecute Christians the most. The alliance between the Russian dictatorship and the Iranian dictatorship is no coincidence.

Let us remember that Putin's regime also has as allies the following dictatorships that appear on this list of countries that persecute Christians the most: North Korea (which occupies the number 1 position), Sudan (5), Eritrea (6), Iran (9), communist China (15), Algeria (19), Laos (21), Uzbekistan (25), Cuba (26), Niger (28), Nicaragua (30), Kazakhstan (38), Tajikistan (39) and Vietnam (44). Fourteen allies of Russia that, in addition, are fourteen dictatorships. Of these, four appear among the countries where the persecution of Christians reaches extreme levels: North Korea, Sudan, Eritrea and Iran.

Meanwhile, some pro-Russian propagandists insist on presenting Moscow as the third Rome and Putin as a defender of Christianity, even though the Russian dictator has no qualms about allying himself with all kinds of dictatorships that persecute Christians, while Putin does nothing at all for the persecuted.
