Of all the discoveries made by humans since the dawn of humanity, one of the most important was the ability to make fire.
Fire not only provides us with heat and light (like when there's a blackout like the one on April 28 in Spain and there are no lanterns), but also cooks food and boils water. It also plays a vital role in the manufacture of many items, as it allows metals and other materials to be melted.
On a camping trip or in a survival situation, making a fire can be a challenge, as you may have seen in the famous film "Cast Away" (2000) by Robert Zemeckis, in which Tom Hanks tries to make a fire on a desert island using very traditional methods. On this interesting subject, today Aventuras Entresierras (a YouTube channel that I recommend you subscribe to) has published a video showing their equipment for making a fire on a camping trip or in a survival situation (I confess that there is some method that I didn't even know about, you always learn new things by following that channel). The video is in Spanish; you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player:
AN IMPORTANT NOTICE: Before starting a campfire, remember to take all necessary precautions to insulate it (for example, placing rocks around the area where you plan to build the campfire) and avoid starting a forest fire. Also, be cautious when lighting fires, and be sure to check if there are any forest fire bans in your area or at that specific time due to the risk of forest fires.
