Advances in technology are making drones excellent tools for capturing images.

Flying over and skiing on Mount Etna in the middle of a volcanic eruption
A spectacular drone flight to the Aiguille du Midi, a 3,842-metre French mountain

I've already shown the capabilities of FPV (first-person view) drones to reach a mountain, with an ascent of the Aiguille du Midi and an overflight of Mount Etna in the middle of a volcanic eruption. But if you're like the protagonist of "Top Gun" and need speed, today you're going to get a considerable dose.

Last October, PlatyFPV published a fantastic video of a drone ascent of the Dolomites (the author of the video doesn't say so, but what we see is the Giau Pass in Veneto, the famous stage of one of the most famous stages of the Giro d'Italia). In this case, the ascent was made at high speed, reaching 130 km/h, which makes for some dizzying images (WARNING: the video may cause motion sickness):

You can see some screenshots of this spectacular flight here. And I'll leave it at that for today. After seeing this, I need some fresh air...
