You're right. This isn't El País, Cadena SER, El Plural, or any other propaganda outlet for Pedro Sánchez's government.
Being the polar opposite of a communist like Vice President Yolanda Díaz doesn't prevent me from agreeing with her punctually, even if it's only by applying the saying that even a broken clock is right twice a day. According to the newspaper Abc, yesterday Díaz once again resorted to the most ridiculous and shameless self-promotion in an interview on TVE, the government's main propaganda outlet paid for by Spaniards' taxes, and said that Sánchez's government is an "exception in the world". Yes: on this point Yolanda Díaz is right.
You only have to look at the rest of the world to see that there is no other democratic government whose president has his wife, his brother, his attorney general, and the last two secretaries of his party's organization investigated for corruption, all of them people he trusts the most, and despite this, he still hasn't resigned. Only Pedro Sánchez, who is a power junkie, does that.
Likewise, Spain has the only government of a democratic country in Europe with communist ministers, including Yolanda Díaz. Let us remember that communism is a totalitarian movement that has killed more than 100 million people and that has established more than fifty dictatorships. Let us remember that four years ago, this government and its far-left partners rejected European condemnation of the crimes of communism, including crimes of genocide. This is an outrage that no other democratic government in Europe has committed.
Furthermore, Spain has the only government that among its partners and allies, has six parties that support dictatorships, including anti-democratic regimes such as communist China, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, and Venezuela. This would be unthinkable in other democratic countries.
It must also be said that Spain has the only government in a democratic country that depends on the support of admirers of terrorists. I am, of course, referring to the separatist, far-left party EH Bildu, which refuses to condemn the murders of 853 people, including 22 children and babies, by the terrorist group ETA and frequently participates in tributes to the murderers, without the slightest reproach from Pedro Sánchez's government.
Spain also has the only government that obeys the dictates of a fugitive from justice, Carles Puigdemont, an individual who fled Spain for his participation in a coup d'état, the one perpetrated on October 1, 2017. Sánchez has been acting as a simple butler of this fugitive for two years and dismantling the rule of law in Spain in exchange for the support of the seven seats of the separatist party that Puigdemont directs from his refuge in Waterloo, Belgium.
Finally, Spain has the only government of a democratic country that has been convicted three times for violating fundamental rights, in rulings issued by the Constitutional Court regarding the government's measures regarding the 2020 pandemic, and whose president, instead of apologizing for it, would instead He said he would do it again, proving himself to be an autocrat who knows no limits to his power other than his own desires. So, it's true, Yolanda: your government is an exception, a shameful and scandalous exception, and Spain will only return to democratic normality when that exception disappears.
