Spain is experiencing a tragic government, governed by a narcissistic and corrupt politician whose only goal is to cling to power.
Yesterday, the socialist Pedro Sánchez did what he does best: a display of self-promotion and lies to whitewash his disastrous management of the Spanish government. Sánchez not only fails to acknowledge his mistakes, but also lies to present himself as a successful politician, when in reality his prescriptions are leading Spain to ruin.
In his presentation yesterday, Sánchez not only lied and manipulated, claiming that "the real disposable income of Spanish households is 9% higher than in 2018" (in reality, it has only increased by 4.9% compared to the 27.5% average for developed countries), but also, as is his custom, he hid very relevant data that show the disaster caused by his ideological prescriptions, such as, for example, that href="https://www.raisin.com/es-es/noticias/espana-es-el-pais-con-mas-parados-de-la-eurozona/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Spain has the highest unemployment rate and youth unemployment rate in the European Union.
Along the same lines, Sánchez also said nothing about the colossal public debt he is leaving us, which is now equivalent to 103.5% of GDP. Issues such as migration chaos, growing insecurity on the streets, the discredit of institutions due to his pacts with separatists and, above all, the corruption scandals that surround him and his government, were issues that Sánchez ignored, dodged, denied or distorted in a public act that was the apotheosis of lying as a political tool. Lies that Sánchez practices reaching pathological levels and openly laughing at all Spaniards.
As if all of the above weren't enough, yesterday Sánchez insisted on his desire to complete the legislative period even if he is unable to approve a single budget. In the two years since the last general elections, the socialist leader has not been able to approve a single one, and it will be very difficult for him to approve the next ones. Let's remember that Sánchez called Rajoy's government for early elections 10 times in 2018 for failing to pass his budget, and now he is doing the same thing year after year, without calling elections and pretending that he has forgotten his own words.
Of course, if Spain has a corrupt and incompetent politician bolted to power, with no other concern than to remain in the Moncloa palace at any price (after all, the bill is paid by the Spanish taxpayers), it is because his separatist and far-left allies continue to support him and, in doing so, become complicit in socialist corruption and in the disaster that Sánchez's ideological recipes are causing in Spain.
Obviously, Both Sánchez and his parliamentary partners don't care if the country goes down the drain as long as they benefit from having power in their hands, which in the end is the only thing that motivates them both. The problem, of course, is that they will have to explain it to their voters, who suffer the effects of this disaster in their income, their savings, and in their neighborhoods, that it is a new episode in the socialist tendency to ruin Spain every time they govern. Let us remember that the same thing already happened with the socialist governments of González (1982-1996) and Zapatero (2004-2011). Some quickly forgot what happened, and now all Spaniards are suffering the fruits of that bad memory.
