Special education: Socialist hatred of freedom punishes disabled children

Socialism is an ideology whose contempt for freedom is only matched by the demagoguery it uses to disguise that hatred.

Yesterday, the spokesperson for the PSOE parliamentary group in the Congress of Deputies, Patxi López, rejected a proposal by the PP to allow families of disabled children to choose between special education and mainstream education, and to prevent their children from being forced to attend schools where integration is very difficult for them. That right to choose, which is enshrined in Article 27 of the Spanish Constitution, was seriously injured by the LOMLOE, the disastrous education law approved by the PSOE and its partners in 2020, which attacks freedom of education in different areas, following the socialist desire for politicians to decide for families, as in a dictatorship.

This Tuesday, Patxi López called special education schools "school ghettos" and accused his rivals of wanting to "discriminate, disaggregate, and create school ghettos out of people with disabilities". The socialist deputy must believe that the ghettos where the Nazis locked up Jews were voluntary, that you decided whether to enter or not, and that you could leave at any time without any reprisals. Only in this way can we understand his infamous insult to those schools, an insult unworthy of a democrat, but one that is already part of the odious tradition of socialism against all those who do not submit to its ideological mantras.

I am the nephew of a person with Down syndrome. My uncle attended special education schools that treated him according to his needs, providing him with personalized care and instruction in line with his intellectual capacity. If my uncle had gone to a mainstream school, his life would have been a nightmare, because he would have been unable to meet academic requirements that are not designed for people like him.

What Patxi López is saying is that my late grandparents wanted to put my uncle in a "ghetto", that they wanted him to feel marginalized and discriminated against... in short, that my grandparents hated their son. Who does López think he is to belittle my grandparents and all the education professionals who have cared for my uncle for years? Wash your mouth before talking about special education, Patxi, because your poor human quality doesn't even reach the level of the soles of the shoes of those who work in those schools helping people like my uncle. We live in a democracy and if you don't want to accept that we have rights and freedoms, that's your problem.

Honestly, I'm fed up with leftist fanatics who believe they have the right to trample on our freedoms and dictate what we should do in every situation in our lives. These fanatic leftists believe that people like my uncle don't deserve to live and even passed a criminal law that gives children with disabilities extra time to be killed before they are born. It seems that socialism now wants to punish families who didn't abort those children, who didn't give in to the pressure of this inhumane leftist ideology that believes certain human beings have less dignity than others simply because they have a disability. This fanatic left deserves all the contempt in the world.
