Six parties that support dictatorships hold a march against 'authoritarianism' in Bilbao

For many years, the extreme left has supported all kinds of dictatorships, including some of the most brutal in the world.

A few months ago I pointed out here that in the Spanish Parliament there are six parties that support dictatorships and all six are left-wing. Coincidentally, four of those parties (EH Bildu, ERC, BNG and Podemos) demonstrated yesterday in Bilbao against "authoritarianism", according to Europa Press, in a march called by the first of them. They also had the support of the communists of the CUP (who support the Cuban dictatorship) and Communistes de Catalunya, who support the dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela.

To that we must add one fact: EH Bildu is a party that has never condemned ETA terrorism, a criminal gang that murdered 853 people, including 22 children. For decades, ETA tried to turn the Basque provinces and Navarre into a dictatorship, in which anyone who disagreed with its separatist and far-left ideology became a target to be murdered with a bullet to the head or a bomb, extorted, or kidnapped. With that campaign of crimes, ETA terrorism managed to expel 180,000 Basques from their land, ensuring a clear political advantage for EH Bildu in all the electoral processes called since then.

It's a mockery of democracy for people like this to demonstrate against "authoritarianism." It's the same mockery as if the Ku Klux Klan were to call for a march against racism. In reality, the extreme left doesn't reject authoritarianism: it only rejects a dictatorship if it's neither socialist nor communist. If the dictatorship is of a similar ideological persuasion, then that anti-democratic regime and its human rights violations seem irreproachable to them. Let's remember, in fact, that four years ago those same parties refused to condemn the crimes of communism in a vote in the Congress of Deputies. That is the far-left's idea of ​​democracy.
