Manuela Bergerot (Más Madrid) calls for the deportation of “the rich”

Yesterday, at the Madrid Assembly, the far-left politician Manuela Bergerot, who was born in Argentina and serves as a representative for Más Madrid (a party that is part of the Sumar coalition, to which the communist members of Pedro Sánchez’s government belong), exclaimed during a session: ”The only dangerous minority is the rich. The ones who should be deported are the rich". Here you can see that representative uttering that nonsense amid the applause of her party colleagues:

I suppose all Spaniards will be interested to know that Manuela María Bergerot Uncal receives a public salary of €50,029.42 per year, paid by taxpayers, including those wealthy people she directs her hate speech at. The average salary in Spain is €33,700, so MP Bergerot is among those "wealthy" people she's calling for to be deported. Of course, when communists launch hate speech against the rich, they're never referring to themselves. They always hope that others will end up being the victims of their policies. What they do is a clear mixture of charlatanism and cynicism.

Communism already made a similar speech: it ended up killing millions through hunger

In 1918, the communist dictator Lenin used hate speech like that against the wealthy to carry out a massacre of the kulaks, as the wealthiest landowners were known in Russia. That speech served to promote massive grain requisitions that caused a colossal famine, which left in its wake between 3.9 million and 7.75 million deaths by starvation among Russians, Kazakhs, and Tatars.

What happened in the USSR was not an isolated incident: communism has left more than 100 million dead in its wake. As the people of every country that has had the misfortune of suffering under a dictatorship of that ideology can attest, communism is a true expert at plunging entire populations into misery while the communist elite grows rich at their expense. The far-left has never apologized for these atrocities. What’s more, five years ago, the entire Spanish left refused to condemn the crimes of communism, demonstrating that it feels not even the slightest hint of remorse for those massacres.

Today, the far left continues to promote this hate speech and still tries to repeat the massive deception that ruined entire countries. Unlike the communists, I am a democrat; I believe in freedom and I believe that no one deserves to be subjected to hate speech or vicious attacks simply for having more money than others, and even less so when the person making those accusations is a member of parliament who is wealthier than the vast majority of Spaniards. What Spain needs are fewer demagogic charlatans like Bergerot and more wealthy people who want to invest their money in our country and generate wealth and jobs. The far left creates neither prosperity nor jobs; the only thing it knows how to do is incite envy and increase poverty.
