Yesterday, two Civil Guard officers died in the line of duty in Huelva while pursuing drug traffickers.

This morning a funeral was held for Germán and Jerónimo, the deceased officers, in the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción in Huelva, an event presided over by the bishop of that diocese, Santiago Gómez Sierra. The Civil Guard has published this video of the event, which was attended by numerous members of that armed institute, who sang "La muerte no es el final" (Death is not the end) for their fallen comrades, as well as the Civil Guard Anthem:

The newspaper ABC reports that neither Pedro Sánchez nor any other minister attended the funeral of the Civil Guard officers in Huelva. The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, delegated the government's representation to the Secretary of State for Security, Aina Calvo.

At the end of February, four members of the government attended the Goya Awards ceremony in Barcelona: President Pedro Sánchez, Vice President Yolanda Díaz, and Ministers Ernest Urtasun and Óscar López. The president of the Congress of Deputies, the Socialist Francina Armengol, was also present. Let us remember that actors, like other artists, have been recognized by the government as a high-risk profession, which allows them to take early retirement and enjoy other benefits. The government has not yet recognized Civil Guard and National Police officers as a high-risk profession, but it does recognize this status for local and regional police officers.

It's absolutely shameful.
