Attacks by Islamist terrorist groups against Christian communities continue in several African countries.
In the last two weeks, International Christian Concern (ICC), a non-political organization that has been reporting on the persecution of Christians around the world for years, has reported a series of Islamist attacks against Christian communities in Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with at least 102 Christians murdered (links to each of the reports are included in the place names):
The socialist government of Nigeria is investing $10 million in silencing this genocide
On May 8, International Christian Concern reported that 128,750 Christians have been killed in Nigeria since 2009, a genocide that the socialist government of Muslim Bola Tinubu is trying to conceal: "During meetings with other heads of state, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu claims the terrorism plaguing his nation stems solely from climate change and regional instability. Researchers have repeatedly debunked this reasoning, pointing to the targeting of Christian communities. The murder of clerics, such as the Rev. Joshua Aliya, is no accident. It’s part of a deliberate strategy to erase religious freedom.," ICC points out.
The ICC has denounced that the government of Tinubuh "has launched a $10 million lobbying front to silence human rights accountability in the U.S. and whitewash the genocide of Nigerian Christians. This isn’t just spin — it’s a calculated effort to rewrite history while innocent lives are increasingly at risk."
The silence of the Sánchez government regarding these attacks
In the West, media outlets like TVE, controlled by Pedro Sánchez's socialist government, have denied this genocide against Christians in Nigeria, a denial largely explained by political motivations: Bola Tinubu's party is the All Progressives Congress (APC) and since 2014 it has been a consultative member of the Socialist International, an organization currently chaired by Pedro Sánchez. On April 1, 2015, following the presidential elections held in the African country, the Socialist International congratulated the Tinubuh party, stating that it was "a party that, at the last meeting of the Council of our International in December 2014, was accepted as a member of the organization."
In a meeting with Tinubu held in Madrid on June 1, 2022, Sánchez described Nigeria as "a strategic partner for Spain." Perhaps this explains why, in the almost eight years he has been in power, Sánchez has not issued a single statement condemning the massacres of Christians in Nigeria. Incidentally, during all this time the President of the Government of Spain has also not written a single message about the massacres of Christians in the DRC. All this while he is effectively turning his government into a megaphone for the propaganda of the Islamist terrorists Hamas.
