Galician separatism, mostly far-left, doesn't even bother to hide its geopolitical affinities.

The BNG is using against the military parade in Vigo a platform whose protests displayed Russian and Iranian flags
One of the groups of the 'no to war' marches supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Yesterday, Vigo hosted the Spanish Armed Forces Day land parade. The event was a great success with the public, with the main avenue of Samil beach packed with people three hours before the parade was scheduled to begin. At that same time, a few hundred separatists demonstrated in the city center to show their rejection of Spain and the Spanish Army under the guise of pacifism. A ridiculously small turnout considering that the organizers framed it as a regional event.

The march was organized by the "Galiza pola Paz" platform, controlled by the BNG separatists and which includes an ultra-leftist group that has been supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as you could read here a few days ago.

That pro-Russian group, called the "Lourinha Antifascist Committee", exhibited their participation in that march yesterday with these images, in which we see several of the protesters showing their curious idea of pacifism with a banner against NATO and flags of Iran and Russia, two militaristic dictatorships that have been attacking their neighboring countries for years and, in the case of Iran, financing and using Islamist terrorist groups to sow war in the Middle East.

On May 1, that far-left pro-Russian group supported a march by the separatist union CIG (affiliated with the BNG) in Santiago de Compostela, carrying Iranian and Russian flags, just as it did yesterday in the march called by the separatist platform "Galiza pola Paz" in Vigo.

More recently, on May 9, that far-left pro-Russian group participated in an event in Vigo with Russian flags and the "Z" symbol (below), used by the Russian invaders in Ukraine at the beginning of Putin's dictatorship's aggression against that democratic country, and which in Russia has become a symbol of the most extreme Russian nationalism. The BNG sees no problem in gathering this kind of support for marches like yesterday's for an obvious reason: their motive is not pacifism, but hatred of Spain.
