The funeral of Kira, the 3 month old baby girl who was killed by the Russians in Odessa

Last Saturday, Russia attacked with missiles a residential area of the city of Odessa, in Ukraine, killing 8 people.

One of the people killed was Kira, a baby girl of only 3 months. She was born on January 4. She was the first daughter of Yury and Valeria. Her mother and her grandmother Lyudmila were also killed in that attack.

Yesterday the funeral was held for Kira, Valeria and Lyudmila in the Transfiguration Cathedral of Odessa, belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The residents of Odessa killed in that attack will be buried in the Avangard cemetery. The Dumskaya.net website has published the photos that you can see below.

Yuri, Kira's father, has posted these photos on his Facebook profile. In them we see the girl, her mother and her grandmother.

Lord, grant them eternal rest. Let perpetual light shine for them. Rest in peace.

I hope that Putin and his minions pay for the crimes they are committing in Ukraine. Russia has become a terrorist state and is acting as such in Ukraine.

+ UPDATED 28.4.2026 1:05 AM: I recently learned that Yuriy, Kira's father, enlisted in the Ukrainian Army after losing his family. He died in combat defending Bakhmut in September 2023. Honor to his memory!
